PISTOL | BASIC


Course Description:
This two-day course of instruction will provide the shooter with a thorough understanding of firearm safety, handling, carrying and operation of their pistol. Students will gain valuable knowledge of ammunition selection, limitations and capabilities. 


FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES:
- Hand gun safety 
- Pistol marksmanship fundamentals 
- Care and maintenance of your pistol
- Accessories, equipment and gear set up
- Unloading, Clearing, Loading 
- Body positioning and form
- Trigger control
- Acquiring, Identifying and engaging targets
- Draw from holster
- Recoil management 
- Combat reloads
- Positional shooting techniques 


EQUIPMENT AND GEAR REQUIRED:
- Pistol
- Holster and belt for YOUR pistol (Links for what we recommend)
- 3 Magazines 
- Magazine carrier
- Eye and ear protection (suggested shooting glasses and electronic earmuffs)
-Appropriate range attire (long pants, closed toed shoes, long sleeve shirt)
-Water bottle
-Ammunition:
Each shooting student must bring 500 rounds of their own ammunition for the caliber of their pistol.
